Centro de Servicios Food Pantry

A Pantry to Feed Needy Families

Centro De Servicios helps needy Tri-Cities residents secure the services they need to live happier, healthier and more productive lives. The Lions Club has been a longtime supporter of this nonprofit social services center, but because of our country's extended recession, the need is even greater.

The difference: People are hungry. More and more families have been visiting Centro in recent months to request food to help feed their families.

The problem: The good news is that the community is stepping up to meet this need with ever-greater contributions of food supplies. But, unfortunately, Centro's compact location has no room to store the food until it is given out to local families.

Centro de Servicios

The solution: The Union City Lions Club has solve this problem! We raised funds for the necessary supplies to build a 10' X 12' food pantry that is now located in the rear area behind Centro's thrift shop. We purchased the supplies and in no time, the new storage facility was built! Refrigeration units will keep food fresh for healthy families.
