MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
Remember that the club will treat a prospective new member to their first lunch
or dinner as our guest. This gives people an opportunity to visit us and
see if they have an interest in our club without incurring any financial obligation. You
also get to invite a friend to lunch and have that lunch paid for by the club. Such
a deal.
STUDENT SPEAKERS
Our speaker Aman Grewal did not prevail at the last competition. He was
an able representative of the Lions Club of Union City and we are all very appreciative
of his talents and his efforts. Aman Grewal will be our guest speaker at
our meeting scheduled for May 13, 2004.
REPORT ON BOARD MEETING OF April 12, 2004:
Your Board of Directors thinks that this club needs to operate the fireworks
booth with Lions Club members and try to keep as much of the profits from fireworks
sales for use by this club to further its programs. We will be staffing
our fireworks booth on July 1, 2, 3, and 4, 2004. Each member should plan
on giving at least four hours of their time to support our major fund raiser
of the year. Your club needs your help for this function. Please
sign up on the staffing sheet for the fireworks booth.
